The Faculty of Right of the University of Alicante, in collaboration with the Institut Valencià of Seguretat Public i Emergències (IVASPE), gives the title of Expert in Prevention and Intervention in Violence of Gender.
The fundamental aim of this degree consists in forming to professionals in the knowledge of the tools of sensitisation, prevention and intervention to brake the violence of gender. With such purpose, studies this type of violence from a multidisciplinary perspective (psychological, social, juridical and police) and qualifies in the handle and the application of protocols and plans of performance to detect, warn and take part in situations of violence of gender.
It treats of a title semipresencial that has the participation of profesorado of diverse areas of knowledge of the University of Alicante, as well as of professionals linked to the Strengths and Bodies of Security specialised in the gestión of the violence of gender in the police field. All the matters give from a theoretical approach-practical with the purpose that the student or the professional receive a complete training that prepare him to act in front of situations of violence of gender from a suitable knowledge of the multiple facets that presents the phenomenon.

The Department of Psychology of the Health of the University of Alicante will organise the days 20 February, to the 16:00 hours in the Classroom of practices of Criminology and the day 23 February to the 13:00 in the Aulario I of the University of Alicante, two conferences given by the Doctors Karen Of Claire and Nicola Bowes, researchers and professors of the University of Cardiff. The doctors Of Claire and Bowes will give the conferences titled "The role of the families in the treatment of the violence" and "The prevention of the delinquency" respectively. The professor Of Claire is member of the British Psychological Society in the area of Forensic Psychology and develops his investigation in evaluation and intervention with violent criminals and sexual criminals. The professor Bowes is researcher Senior in Forensic Psychology in the University of Cardiff, and expert in the treatment of the delinquency in the system of penal justice.
The University of key Alicante in a European project to increase the academic performance in population from among 10 and 13 years through new computer technologies.

The Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Alicante participates in the Improvement Science Training for European Healthcare Workers (ISTEW) in the framework of the programme "Lifelong Learning: Erasmus, Jean Monnet". Next to the University of Alicante to participate as partners: University of the West of Scotland from United Kingdom, United Kingdom Coventry University, College of Nursing Jesenice in Slovenia, Wysza Szkola Ekonomi I Innowacji Amsterdamie of Poland, University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Gr. T. Popa" of Romania, Sapienza University of Rome in Italy.
The main objective of the project is to develop academic and practical programs shared between partner countries enabling European universities to improve competitiveness, knowledge and practices in the health sector with the joint participation of students.
The duration of the project is two years and has funded more than %u20AC350.000.
